About

“And you only get one great love. New York may just be mine. And I can’t have nobody talking shit about my boyfriend.” – Carrie Bradshaw

Welcome to NY in the City!

My name is Nicole Yvonne (usually just Nicole, but that didn’t work as well) hence NY in the City. Get it? Nicole Yvonne…NY? in the City…NYC?

Anyway…

I started this blog when I first moved to New York City in 2015. I moved here right after college with big dreams and a small wallet. I started by posting the events I was going to around the city and the places I was traveling. I decided I had collected a lot of cool photos and had gained a lot of knowledge about cheap things to do in the city, and I wanted to share it.

Now that I have been in New York City for a while, it has become more than just a city of cheap events; it has become my whole life. So, that is what I want this blog to represent. I still go to events every once in a while, but there is a lot more that I want to share.

I have grown a lot living in New York, and a lot about me has changed since I moved here. My interests have changed and expanded. And, I want to share it all with you. So, this blog is going to change and expand with my interests in fashion, beauty, self care, travel, etc. I guess you could call it a Millennial New Yorker Lifestyle Blog…
