5 Favorite Trader Joe’s Finds

Trader Joe’s is always bringing in new great products, and unfortunately sometimes taking away great products, so it can be hard to keep up with what they have. I don’t know if anyone else feels this way, but I also think Trader Joe’s in New York City is a stressful experience every time because of the lines, and the crowds and just the amount of products. I always go in with a list of what I know I want and new things I’m looking for.

I love following Trader Joe’s List on Instagram. She does Trader Joe’s hauls of what she has bought and also features a lot of their new items. The only thing to remember is she is on the west coast and sometimes we don’t get all of the products the west coast gets. But, still a great way to find new products and if they aren’t in your store and you want them, you can always put in a request on TJ’s website.

  1. Norwegian Crispbread

You had to know this was going to be number 1. It is a great source of carbs and fiber. Only 3g of net carbs for 1 cracker. I have used them a million different ways. If you were paying attention last Foodie Friday, I posted a few ideas of how to elevate your meals with Crispbread.

They have also now added Everything but the Gluten Crackers, which is simply smaller pieces of Crispbread seasoned with Everything but the Bagel seasoning.

2. Everything but the Bagel Nut Duo

Speaking of Everything but the Bagel seasoning, my new favorite snack item from TJ’s is the Everything but the Bagel Nut Duo. It is almonds and Cashews seasoned with EBTB. These are a great snack full of healthy fats from the nuts, but be careful to pour them into a bowl first, so you don’t eat them all in one sitting.

3. Unsweetened Almond, Cashew & Macadamia Nut Beverage

Even if you aren’t keto or low carb, I feel like cow’s milk has just gone out of style. But, actually good milk substitutes are hard to find. TJ’s Unsweetened Almond, Cashew & Macadamia Nut Beverage is the best milk substitute I have found. It is lactose free, dairy free, gluten free, soy free, and vegan. It is the closest consistency to milk, it’s not as watery as almond milk. It has a great taste and can be hot or cold. It also froths pretty well for those of you that froth your milk for your coffee.

4. Riced Cauliflower Stir Fry

I am not a huge cauliflower fan. It just doesn’t taste like anything to me. But, this stir fry is so perfectly seasoned. You can just throw it into a pan and in a few minutes you have dinner. I sometimes will upgrade it by adding some egg, or cooked pork, or both. And, you’ve always got to put a little Sriracha on top before digging in.

5. Korean Style Beef Short Ribs

I just found this recently (idk if it’s new), but I love it. I have been missing Korean BBQ this year. My sister and I used to go to Korean BBQ all the time. These short ribs are so good and again so perfectly seasoned. They are so easy to cook, too. All you need to do is defrost them for about 15 minutes and then throw them in a pan on the stovetop for a few minutes.

It is A TON of food, but it is fatty enough that it doesn’t dry out if you reheat the leftovers the next day. I usually end up with about 3 days worth of dinners from one package.

So, the next time you go to Trader Joe’s add these to your list and give them a try!

Grocery List:
Norwegian Crispbread
Everything but the Gluten Crackers
