If there’s one thing that may be better than a bar crawl, it’s a shopping crawl. There’s nothing better than spending the day with a great girl gang digging through racks and racks of clothes. Luckily, Instagram has helped me meet some girls with great style who love to shop.
One of my favorite Instagram ladies, @pinkvintagehrt (aka Leigh), hosts a vintage shopping crawl. The crawl is $25 per person and lasts about 4 hours, giving a little more 30 minutes at each shop. Leigh knows all the best vintage shops and picks her favorite within a walking distance.
The tour took us to six vintage shops in Williamsburg just off the Bedford Ave L train stop. We stopped at Awoke Vintage, Amarcord, Malin Landaeus, The Bargain District (the owner Monique is also one of my favorite Instagram ladies, @thebargaindistrict), and 10ft Single by Stella Dallas. Check out their websites! Each has it’s own unique style.
Personally, I always find it hard to find things in vintage shops. I find the racks of randomly assorted clothing and the lack of size labeling daunting (I hate trying on clothes for size.) Leigh is a vintage pro! She can help you learn how to sift through the racks and racks of clothing to find the true gems that are in these shops.
If you love vintage and want to find some of the best shops in the city or you’re like me and want to learn how to get everything you can out of vintage shopping, this tour will help you learn where and how to shop vintage like a real New Yorker.
