For the holidays I went home to Hilton Head and then to Atlanta. In Hilton Head, I think I might’ve scared some retired golf enthusiasts with my Christmas outfit, but I tried to adapt to Hilton Head’s country club style and find the two things in my closet that aren’t black. I put together shots of all of the best outfits I wore (aka the only outfits I wore that weren’t pajamas.) This was the perfect opportunity for me to wear all of the clothes I bought on Black Friday, just in time for New York to be too cold to wear them.
The first outfit I wore (once I finally got out of my pajamas on day 3) was a dress I got from American Eagle on Black Friday. I probably paid like $12 for this dress because it is way too cold to wear it in New York, but it is perfect for the beach in the winter. I love the cut out in the back and, even though you can’t tell from the pictures, it also has a cutout on the front of each shoulder which is kind of a cool twist. Since this is one of the most colorful things in my closet, it was perfect for the Lilly Pulitzer flooded island.
For Christmas Eve dinner, at (and I can’t stress this enough) my favorite restaurant on the island, Jane’s Bistro, I wore an H&M dress I got online on Cyber Monday for $14.99. It’s a great simple bell-sleeved dress with little pops of color. I’m trying to start wearing color, but in very tiny baby steps.
The boots I have on in this pic are the ones I’m wearing pretty much 24/7. They’re American Eagle booties that I got on sale a while back for $49. They are the perfect height and they are so comfortable. I pretty much never take them off. I cannot find the exact ones on their website, but I have put links below to a few similar pairs they have and they’re on sale!
And now, we are to my very traditional Christmas outfit for a very traditional Christmas dinner at the local Chinese restaurant. If you have seen my Instagram, you know I love these ripped jeans from American Eagle. They go with so much you can dress them up or make an outfit edgier. Unfortunately they aren’t selling them in black currently, but they are selling them in a light washed denim which I also have for the spring! The top is a v-neck crop top I also got from American Eagle on sale forever ago. I have it in black too (of course)!
This was my drive home outfit. I love this vintage Bruce Springsteen t-shirt I got from the coolest vintage shop in Little Italy, Allan & Suzi. It has an amazing assortment of high-end and low-end vintage pieces hand picked by Allan and Suzi (they have seriously amazing taste in vintage.) I tucked it into my ultra-high wasted jeans from American Eagle that I wear all the time and added a jean jacket.
I’m also obsessed with these oversized Fossil sunglasses. I got them also on Black Friday for 30% off! They have some great cat-eye sunglasses I’m coming for next.
