As you may know, this weekend my parents came to the city and I used their stay to my full advantage. If you’ve been following my Instagram, I ate a lot and I drank a lot. But, I also got them to take me to Exhibitionism: The Rolling Stones.
This exhibit was one of the coolest events I’ve been to in the city. It’s a held in Industria Superstudio in the West Village and it consists of 9 galleries with over 500 rare and personal items from the band. When I first heard that description, I understood it was a lot, but I didn’t understand just how much stuff that really is.
They had everything from the clothes, to the guitars, to a recreation of the studio. They even had a recreation of the first flat they ever lived in together put together by Mick and Keith ( I feel like we’re on a first name basis now. I was in a recreation of their bedroom.) At the end, you even get to go “backstage” and then watch a 3D live concert.
It is definitely worth the $37 ticket price (though the audio guide that’s an extra $5.5o can be skipped). If you kept your student ID, you can get a cheaper ticket! I definitely think this is a must see exhibit and it’s open until March! Check it out soon!
